The location was beautiful and amazing, very close to a walk to the nearby shops at the centre, and meadows and water. We stayed for 1 night here, loved Kurokawa Onsen district. The room was reasonably spacious, provided with bath, fridge, as for instance. An electric kettle and a fridge were available in the kitchen...

Couples seeking a unique experience
We had a surprising chance to taste horse meat for the first time during our dinner, a thrilling culinary adventure. The atmosphere shifted like magic as the lanterns lit up the paths to the onsen at night.
It certainly wasn't inexpensive, but well worth it.

Absolutely perfect location, attentive staff, FANTASTIC views of the nature. Location very close to hiking trails and other opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, restaurants, and a lovely stream. For tea or coffee visit Shiratamakko nearby. Very enjoyable overall experience.

Here's my take on it
A magical three nights spent in a amazing setting! The staff's attentiveness was above and beyond. Dining was a good adventure. The vegetarian meals were a feast for the eyes and palate. My family was enchanted by the serene outdoor baths and spacious room. Truly a nice experience, I can't recommend it enough!

Unexpected culinary delights await
The fine forest setting and calming river sounds offered serenity. The staff were friendly, going out of their way to accommodate us, especially during meal times.
Note that the hotel is somewhat isolated, requiring a car to get there. While the traditional rooms are charming, they can be chillier in winter, so be prepared.

Had an amazing two-night stay! The private onsen was such a treat, and the food was very nice with a changing menu. Just a heads up, the drive down is steep, but totally worth it! Can't wait to come back.

Finding the ryokan was quite challenging due to limited signage in English, made our arrival stressful.

variety of onsen, private outdoor bath, easy parking
Dinner timings were mismatched, feeling rushed!!! A bit more focus on guest experience during meal service would go a long way!!! The room could use an upgrade, relaxation could be improved with better pillow options!!!

The serene atmosphere surrounded by a beautiful forest provided an excellent opportunity to unwind. The private onsen experience was a highlight, awesome for a peaceful retreat. Accessing the ryokan was frustrating due to confusing directions, and the narrow approach made navigation challenging. Meal timings were somewhat rushed, detracting from the overall dining experience.
